This website is the digital successor to the printed fanzine Cimmerian Shadows, which ran for two issues c. 2010-12 with a particular focus on traditional heavy metal and its correlation with fantasy fiction.
The site's aim is to act as an online archive for a selection of the original zine's printed articles, which give a snapshot of contemporary bands at earlier stages in their existence or hark back much further into the past. Hopefully they are still of interest to some.
The website will also bring to light other old content that never made it into a printed issue of Cimmerian Shadows, and present new interviews or articles as and when they are completed.
