​This website is the digital successor to the printed fanzine Cimmerian Shadows, which ran for two issues c. 2010-12 with a particular focus on traditional heavy metal and its correlation with fantasy fiction.
​
The site's aim is to act as an online archive for a selection of the original zine's printed articles, which give a snapshot of contemporary bands at earlier stages in their existence or hark back much further into the past. Hopefully they are still of interest to some.
​
The website will also bring to light other old content that never made it into a printed issue of Cimmerian Shadows, and present new interviews or articles as and when they are completed.
